Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard to improve our billing feature – a tool that has been used by individuals, groups, organizations, and friends to collect money online for things like membership dues and shared expenses.
As small businesses, service providers, and freelancers increasingly turn to WePay to collect payments from their customers, we’re excited to roll out “WePay Invoices”, a dramatic improvement to our original billing tool. Invoices offers a compelling solution to merchants that want to send professional and custom invoices to their customers without paying monthly fees or figuring out complicated accounting software.
Over the next few days you’ll see the changes trickle in. Here are some highlights of Invoices.
A Simpler Creation Process
Small businesses and freelancers tend to invoice the same customers more than once. With this update we’re making it easy to copy a previous invoice, so you don’t have to start a new invoice from scratch.
Add Your Branding
You can now customize the color scheme of your invoices to match the style and brand of your business or organization. You can add a custom logo and color scheme.
Service fees for customized invoices are 6%.
Pay Part of an Invoice
We now allow invoice recipients to pay any amount up to the full amount of the invoice balance. This means that they don’t have to pay the invoice all at once.
Don’t worry: we’ll keep the invoice marked as “unpaid” until it’s paid in full, and we’ll keep up-to-date records of all payments made toward an invoice balance.

Hope you enjoy these improvements.
