A lot of people were having issues with the bank account verification process - Microdeposits take too long (3-5 business days to clear). But we needed some way to verify that you, the account holder, actually own that account.
And so today, we’re announcing the release of PhotoVerify™, an easier way to verify your bank account (and an industry first).
Take a picture of a check and government-issued photo ID from a camera or smartphone and email it to verify@wepay.com – we’ll process the image and verify your account almost instantly. You can also scan and upload the image on the account confirmation screen if you’d like.
